I've tried to rollback to ix with odin and suceeded. I used frija to get android 9 rom for my CSC, and information technology normally downgraded it, without issues.

Can I downgrade knox from android x to ix without triggering it? and when I downgrade it, can I supersede the csc with a csc that supports call log? Thanks. (Google translate used)

I tried to flash with Odin the Android ix firmware onto my device (which is currently running Android 10) using all the files from the Android 9 firmware, but I used the Android x bootloader instead.
Information technology nigh worked only information technology gave this mistake:
KERNEL REV. CHECK FAIL. DEVICE: 3, BINARY: two (BOOT)

I have tried for 2 days to get my Galaxy A40 ( A405FN ) from 10 to ix.
I used Odin ane.14.four and SAMSUNG USB Driver v1.7.23.
I'm trying to flash this rom here (XEF) A405FNXXU1ASC3 from March 2019, ix/Pie. I got it from samfrew.com

I have tried recovery mode, to employ update from SD menu, just I got a
E: Footer is wrong, Signature berification failed.

I take tried to upload only the AP file, I got an fault after the recovery.img file

calinorg, can you lot exist a little bit more specific about your environment?

How can nosotros remove that check on the flash rom?

working .... finally

this is the way i did information technology.

I found out almost the Chip version of the ROM in that postal service,

So my original rom is 3BIT
A405FNXXU3BTD4 XEF 2020 05 13 Scrap 3 V10 Q original telephone

And I have downloaded a few V9, i was Bit 3 Likewise.
A405FNXXU3ATA4 XEF 2020 01 15 BIT iii Five nine Pie

The primeval verson i had, that I was always trying was Bit 1
A405FNXXU1ASC3 XEF 2019 03 07 Bit ane V 9 Pie

So The chip version of the ROM you want to flash must exist equal or above your bodily bit version in my case 3

So, i was doing some reasearch on Flake version, I found this post

and in that post at that place is a version of a 3B, of Odin. Odin V3.13.1_3B .. and so i may as well try it.

And it worked... miracle Android version 9!!

I take changes to so many variable... magisk installed, twrp installed, multidisabler
I don't know if those had an influence
Dont hesitate to right my misunderstandings....

As well worked for me downgrading from A405FNXXS3BTI3 to A405FNXXU3ATA4 - your tip on the bitcodes and patched version of Odin got me pointed in the right direction.

I didn't have Magisk, TWRP or Multidisabler installed, nothing - I was on stock 10 FW (UK, EE) and needed to get back to nine.

Do you remember the time when getting the last android was so geekely cool. Today nosotros simply wonder what other freedom are they going to accept abroad from us.

I'thou using Call Recorder Pro that wont work on 10, at all. On 9 its working simply it wont associate the number and the recording. So on the recording you merely accept the time postage.

At present, on 8 (my huawai P10Lite), it records and put the contact proper name or number in the filename..... which is awesome.
That thing is so useful, remembering things, share conversations, work on communication strategy, sales, job search, and I have no memory...

And then, I'm thinking.... lets get viii on the A40 ... )

I am very happy that I was able to downgrade to android nine.

Android 10 is a joke. In android 10 yous tin can't even mount organisation equally read/write even with root! This is a new 'security feature' of android 10 chosen shared_blocks

Do you remember the fourth dimension when getting the terminal android was so geekely absurd. Today we just wonder what other freedom are they going to take abroad from us.

There'south no android 8 for Samsung A40, and if you want native call recording you need root for that, no other way.
